Publication of the first benchmark on corporate social responsibility

The World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) has published its first Social Benchmark, assessing the world's 2,000 most influential companies on their responsibility to respect human rights, decent work and ethical behaviour. According to the benchmark, 90% of the companies assessed are not even halfway to meeting these expectations.

90% of the companies assessed are not even halfway to meeting fundamental societal expectations in terms of human rights, decent work and ethical conduct. More than 30% of companies scored between 0 and 2 points out of a possible 20.
