A number of alarming realities emerge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\"><strong>Irregular and inadequate wages<\/strong> ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8c5e35ec955b9bb13eb2badad60d046d\" style=\"line-height:1.7\"><strong>Dangerous working conditions<\/strong>, without sufficient health and safety guarantees;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\"><strong>Freedom of association denied<\/strong>, with targeted discrimination;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\"><strong>Gender discrimination<\/strong>, particularly against women workers in the informal economy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Marginalisation of environmental protection and local communities.<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6267bbfc39db6ada63c62764c530f409 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:1.3rem\"><strong>Challenges and levers for change<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The report also identifies several&nbsp;<strong>structural obstacles<\/strong>&nbsp;to the effectiveness of human rights in agricultural and agri-food companies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e0f5885744fceee0840d8fb3af07f915\" style=\"line-height:1.7\">The<strong>absence of binding obligations<\/strong>&nbsp;on companies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\">The<strong> Crony capitalism;<\/strong>, which favours the interests of economic elites;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\">The <strong>Lack of resources for labour inspectorates <\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\">The <strong>fragility of trade union and community counter-powers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">In light of these findings, the report recommends <strong>strengthening laws<\/strong>,<strong> binding mechanisms<\/strong>, and fostering <strong>cooperation among the State, companies, and trade unions<\/strong> to ensure the protection of workers and the communities they affect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f8d5ba5854ac2d8022f1d848ba2fb19d wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:1.3rem\"><strong>Speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-warning-darker-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-2b2728a5bd31aeddb20640fbb8bc3173 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Imane Nya <\/strong>Holder of a doctorate in economics from the Souissi-Rabat Faculty of Economic, Social and Legal Sciences<strong> <\/strong>and she is currently a member of the Rabat Social Studies Institute (RSSI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-warning-darker-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-63159938ba9d6a9832619fcf7f0b4970 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saloua Zerhouni<\/strong> Professor of political science at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco, where she has also served as vice dean for scientific research and cooperation. She is a founding member of the think tank Rabat Social Studies Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-warning-darker-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-a1abe7be868cbab2ad5fdc4fb603f381 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Salwa Hanif<\/strong> With a doctorate in Management Sciences from the University of Montpellier, she is interested in critical management studies, particularly the study and critique of entrepreneurial models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-63da4e1ac3586cf824944d930dcfa893 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:1.3rem\"><strong>Objectives of the ExPEERience Talk #17<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">This<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/justiceexpeerience.org\/en\/expeerience-talks\/\">ExPEERience Talk<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;aims to present the main findings of the report, analyse
